Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) seeks an Instructor to deliver approved curriculum in an applied learning environment and to mentor students. Responsibilities include facilitating activities, administering assessments, and integrating technology to enrich learning outcomes.

The role emphasizes engagement with diverse learning styles, development of syllabi, and collaboration with Student Success to improve retention. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Verifiable work experience in the automation/manufacturing industry.
• Strong Electrical and programming skills.
• Experience with industrial safety and maintenance of industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students.
• Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes.
• Mentor and guide students, provide feedback to support learning outcomes.
• Integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experiences.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment in labs and classrooms.
