Job summary

Mercy Children's Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Part-Time Child Life Program Coordinator (CCLS) to lead and advance pediatric programs across the system.

You will oversee specialized child life initiatives, mentor teams, and partner with clinical and administrative leaders to align services with family-centered care. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, education for interdisciplinary teams, and collaboration across Mercy locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Child Life is required.
• Completion of a Child Life internship is required.
• Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Three or more years of Child Life experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, coordination, and ongoing growth of Child Life programs.
• Develop resources, tools, and support materials for patients and families.
• Evaluate program outcomes and drive improvement initiatives.
• Communicate program goals and needs to leadership and stakeholders.
• Design and deliver educational programs for interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide training and support for Child Life staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
• Serve as subject matter expert in evidence-based Child Life practice.
• Partner with leaders across Mercy Children's for program continuity across locations.
• Assist with budget oversight, expense monitoring, and grant-writing efforts.
