Mercy Kids St. Louis is seeking a compassionate Child Life Specialist to join our pediatric team on a PRN basis. You will provide emotional support, therapeutic play, education, and family-centered care to help children cope with tests, procedures, and hospital stays.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will tailor plans to each child, supervise students and volunteers, and coordinate special events while upholding Mercy's mission and standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, Education, or related field.
• CCLS certification required or in process.

Responsabilidades

• Provide developmentally appropriate education, preparation, and support for procedures and treatments.
• Deliver therapeutic play and coping strategies to reduce fear and anxiety.
• Advocate for patients and families while promoting family-centered care.
• Develop individualized treatment goals and care plans.
• Coordinate events, supervise students, and document care accurately.
