Job summary

The role requires Alabama teaching certification in CTE fields, ESSA compliance, and involvement in CTSO activities. It operates under a 9-month schedule with varied school locations.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, preferably in science, technology, math.
• Must have a valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate in a CTE-related field or be eligible for CTE certification; participate in CTE-TCP; completion/add-on for CS Discoveries.
• Must meet ESSA federal and state requirements or be willing to meet them within the designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide rigorous curriculum aligned with ALSDE and CTE Course of Study.
• Sponsor a CTSO and participate in at least one program-related competition per year.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and related service providers to plan effective educational programs.
