Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher to deliver certified science instruction and manage daily classroom activities. The role reports to the building principal and follows district guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree or higher and SC certification for Middle Level Science. You will plan lessons, assess progress, and foster student growth across curricular and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher from an accredited college or university.
• Certification as required by the state of South Carolina in Middle Level Science.
• Other professional and personal qualifications as deemed necessary for acceptable fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Prepare classroom for class activities.
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
• Identify and utilize different instructional resources and methods to support the learning needs of students at varying levels of progress.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Provide for the care and protection of school property.

Education
