The Lansing School District seeks a dedicated Middle School Science Teacher for Mt. Hope to inspire curiosity and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.

You will deliver engaging science instruction, use data to tailor lessons, collaborate with peers and families, and help students reach challenging academic goals in a diverse urban setting.

Bachelor's in science education and Michigan certification are preferred; urban teaching experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science education or related field.
• Michigan teaching certification preferred or ability to enroll in program.
• Ability to teach middle school science and use data-driven instruction.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of middle school science content.
• Provide world-class instruction in various science areas to middle school students.
• Use data to guide and differentiate instruction.
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, and professional development.
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned to support the Lansing School District mission.
