Job summary

Prosper ISD is seeking a Middle School Principal for the 2027-2028 school year to lead instructional programs and supervise campus operations. The role requires a master’s degree in educational administration, Texas principal certification, and prior instructional leadership experience.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage budgets, supervise personnel, and coordinate campus functions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in educational administration.
• Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate.
• Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser.
• Three years of Assistant Principal experience preferred.
• Three years experience as a classroom teacher.
• Instructional leadership experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor instructional processes to ensure alignment with outcomes and take corrective actions.
• Provide instructional resources and materials to achieve goals.
• Establish expectations for staff performance in instructional strategies and classroom management.
• Solicit input from campus-level committees on planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation.
• Build a vision for school improvement and direct planning activities to meet the mission.
• Set campus performance objectives and demonstrate progress for school improvement.
• Facilitate communication with superintendent, staff, students, parents, and community.
• Develop student discipline management system with staff involvement.
• Ensure compliance with district policies, laws, and regulations affecting schools.
• Develop and administer campus budgets based on program needs and enrollment.
