Job summary

The Quad Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Middle School Mathematics Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 year in New York. You will provide rigorous math instruction and social-emotional support to sixth through eighth graders, working with clinicians to support a diverse range of learning needs.

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, mathematics education, elementary education, special education, or a related field.
• Experience working with upper elementary or middle school students.
• Preferred Education and Experience: Master's degree in mathematics education, special education, elementary education, mathematics, or a related field.
• Special education training, including training in gifted education and twice-exceptional youth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons that are differentiated to meet the learning needs of the students.
• Regularly assess the students and the curriculum, adapting content and instruction as appropriate; communicating assessment results to parents.
• Collaborate with other staff to plan cross-curricular projects.
• Communicate with parents and guardians to provide feedback on pupils’ progress.
• Attend all faculty meetings and required events.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, elementary education, special education, or a related field

Master’s degree in mathematics education, special education, elementary education, mathematics, or a related field

Secondary Mathematics, Elementary Education, and/or Special Education teaching credential
