Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia teaching certificate with certification in Middle Grades Social Science (4-8).
• Experience in middle grades teaching is preferred.
• Familiarity with Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for Social Studies.
• Able to engage diverse learners and maintain a positive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with GSE for Social Studies.
• Adapt instructional materials for diverse needs and abilities.
• Establish a positive, structured classroom environment with clear expectations.
• Engage students in analysis and understanding of historical, economic, political, and geographic concepts.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Integrate instructional technology to enhance digital literacy and learning.
