Job summary

Boston Scientific in Minnesota's Arbor Lakes office is seeking a Test Method Development Engineer - P3 to join the Interventional Heart Failure group. You will develop test methods for device performance and contribute to new product platforms focused on sensor feedback loops.

The role requires a master’s or PhD in engineering, 3+ years of experience, and strong statistics. Travel is about 20% and the position is onsite five days per week.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgment.
  • Experience developing product level test methods and equipment/fixturing with verification testing as benchmark.

Responsibilities

  • Test method developer for components, sub, or finished medical device assemblies.
  • Creates new methods to evaluate critical areas of product performance with device feedback loop focus.
  • Guides the design of unique equipment or fixturing/tooling to support method development.
  • Contributes to or leads test protocols, data generation, analysis, and team review.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure requirements are unambiguous and measurable.
  • Authors technical reports that communicate results and share knowledge across the business unit.
  • Contributes ideas to or generates intellectual property submissions.
  • Significant hands-on in-lab product development and testing.
