Job summary

Wastequip is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for our Tyler, TX location. You will design and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes, develop equipment layouts, and lead projects from design through launch to improve safety, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include creating drawings and BOMs, coordinating with teams and suppliers, and supporting manufacturing through new equipment implementation and process improvements. Travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial/Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3D CAD experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLCs preferred.
• Must be team oriented with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, tests and implements new equipment and processes for production flow and product conveyance.
• Creates assembly drawings, BOMs, budgets and work instructions for new equipment.
• Coordinates with management, operations, suppliers and contractors on projects.
• Prepares layouts of buildings and equipment for operations and maintenance.
• Assists in installation and implementation of new designs and equipment.
• Coordinates manufacturing launches for new or revised projects and trains operators.
