Job summary

University of Colorado Colorado Springs seeks an Instruction and Research Librarian (Instructor Rank) to deliver information literacy instruction and research assistance within the Kraemer Family Library and the Learning, Research, and Engagement Department.

This 12-month faculty appointment includes liaison work, course-related instruction in teacher education, and development of online learning materials, with opportunities for professional service and contribution to library programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library school completed by position start date.
• Experience or coursework in instruction or instructional design.
• Experience or coursework in providing reference or research assistance.
• Experience in an academic library is preferred.
• Experience in research support, information literacy instruction, or collection development in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person and/or online information literacy instruction.
• Provide general research assistance in-person and through remote formats.
• Develop and maintain online learning materials.
• Assist with assessment of library instruction and research assistance activities.
• Serve as a liaison to academic divisions for collection development, instruction, and research assistance.
• Participate in policy development for the department and library.
• Engage in campus and professional service activities.
