Responsibilities

• Designs and facilitates culturally appropriate instruction for High School students (9th-12th grades).
• Instructs students and prepares academic lessons to cover material via lectures and activities.
• Plans a program of study meeting individual needs and active engagement.
• Provides opportunities for students to showcase learning (theatre, music, presentations, projects).
• Administers authentic assessments and maintains records and progress reports.
• Maintains a safe, supportive learning environment and upholds standards.
• Attends faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
• Communicates with students, parents and staff about progress and needs.
• Follows testing procedures and district/board policies.
• Advocates for students with administration and community partners.
