Job summary

The Portage School of Leaders in South Bend seeks a licensed High School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to deliver Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Statistics aligned with Indiana standards.

You will design engaging, real-world lessons, use standards-based assessments, support interdisciplinary projects, and serve as a Wayfinder advisor, guiding around fifteen students through academic planning and postsecondary exploration while promoting inclusive, student-centered learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Education is required.
• Hold or be willing to obtain Indiana math teaching license.
• Master’s Degree in Mathematics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students, families, and caregivers to support academic success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences.
• Deliver standards-aligned instruction based on Indiana State Standards and competency-based learning.
• Develop engaging hands-on lessons with real-world applications.
• Use standards-based assessments and provide multiple pathways to mastery.
• Maintain records of student progress and attendance using school systems.
• Serve as a Wayfinder advisor to a group of about 15 students.
