Job summary

KIPP NYC College Prep High School in NYC is seeking a dedicated Computer Science teacher for grades 9–12. This role focuses on delivering a rigorous college-preparatory CS curriculum and developing students’ academic and character skills to prepare them for college and beyond.

Qualifications

• Two years of teaching experience preferred.
• New York State teaching certification in appropriate content areas preferred.
• Passion for a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture.
• Willingness to travel to NYC schools.

Responsibilities

• Plan a college preparatory CS curriculum aligned with NYS standards.
• Deliver rigorous daily CS lessons and assess student progress.
• Communicate results to students, families and colleagues.
• Advise a small group of students through four years of high school.
• Model KIPP NYC’s character strengths in all interactions.
