Innovation Charter High School seeks a passionate, equity-driven Computer Science & Software Engineering Teacher (Grades 9-12) to lead the SEP program, a standards-aligned sequence in programming, app design, and game-building culminating in an AP course.

The role emphasizes inclusive, project-based CS curriculum delivery under the Principal’s direction, serving all students including those with IEPs, and aligning with CS4ALL objectives in NYC.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, p5js, and C++.
• Demonstrated ability to teach CS concepts to high school students.
• Experience applying inclusive teaching practices for diverse learners.
• Knowledge of NYS teacher certification expectations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inclusive, rigorous CS instruction for grades 9-12.
• Lead SEP program development aligned to CS4ALL standards.
• Collaborate with special education co-teachers to meet IEP mandates.
• Use data to drive student growth and adjust instruction.
