Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Swiftwater, PA seeks an innovative Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations for our premiere K-12 district. You will oversee menu development, staff training, equipment maintenance, and daily nutrition-focused food preparation with a culture of safety and sanitation.

Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will drive high-quality, large-volume meals, manage inventory and cost controls, participate in client satisfaction initiatives, and stay current with food

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree highly desired or equivalent in culinary arts.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management, catering experience preferred.
• Proven success in high-volume, complex foodservice operations with institutional/batch cooking.
• Hands-on chef experience with knowledge of trends, quality, production, sanitation, cost control and presentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email systems.
• Willingness to engage in client satisfaction programs.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop regular and specialty menus aligned with K-12 standards.
• Train kitchen staff in food prep, equipment operation and safety.
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Oversee inventory and improve utilization while ensuring vital products.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Participate in departmental meetings and staff development.
• Perform other duties to support dining operations.
