Job summary

Peoria Unified School District is seeking a Certified Teacher for an elementary assignment at Apache Elementary in Peoria, AZ. The position supports PreK-8/general elementary education and runs for a 9-month term.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the principal and be part of a district-wide effort to promote student success and safety. Responsibilities include developing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, maintaining classroom standards, and fostering strong

Qualifications

Arizona teaching certificate or eligibility to become certified in Arizona.
Ability to pass a background check and obtain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans.
Document and share student grades and evaluations.
Set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and uphold district policies.
Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; take necessary precautions.
Available to students and parents outside regular hours when required.
Foster positive relationships with students, teachers, parents and community members.
Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policies.
Other duties as assigned.
