Job summary

Rock Valley College seeks an engaging, innovative Adjunct Education Instructor with K-12 experience and 2000 hours or more of work experience in an early childhood education setting (birth to 8 years old). The Adjunct Education Instructor must be available to teach assigned classes in multiple modes of delivery (in-person, online and hybrid).

This position also requires engagement with the course/program assessment process and completion of required institutional training related to teaching in

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Education or closely related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Education.
• 2000+ hours of work experience in an early childhood education setting (birth to 8 years).
• Ability to teach one or more sections in person, hybrid and/or online.

Responsibilities

• Meet classes at assigned times.
• Plan course content and assign appropriate coursework.
• Maintain student records.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Evaluate student progress and assign grades.
• Revise course outlines and texts as needed.
• Participate in assessment of student learning at course/program level.
