Job summary

Meta is seeking a Research Scientist to advance computer vision and AI research, tackling visual perception, 3D scene understanding, image and video recognition, and generative vision models. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate research into scalable AI capabilities powering Meta's products and platforms.

You will design experiments, train deep learning models on large datasets, evaluate algorithms, and contribute to data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of research in computer vision
• PhD in computer vision, ML, CS, or related field
• Experience with PyTorch and deep learning
• Publications, reports, or presentations in CV/ML venues
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct original research in computer vision, including 3D reconstruction, scene understanding, and generative modeling
• Develop and train deep learning models on large-scale image and video data
• Implement and evaluate novel CV algorithms and benchmark against state-of-the-art methods
• Contribute to training data pipelines and annotation workflows
• Translate research findings into production-ready prototypes with engineering teams
• Write and publish research results at leading CV/ML venues
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align research with applied goals
• Instrument experiments with logging and evaluation metrics
