Job summary

Archi-Tech Network in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a computational facade consultant to support our facade design and development team on high-profile projects. You will contribute to digital workflows, perform analytical analyses, and support design presentations from concept through completion.

The role requires 2+ years of computational design experience, proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper, and strong communication. Office-based position in Brooklyn with a focus on high-rise and complex façades.

Qualifications

• A degree or certification in a related discipline (architecture, computational design, civil engineering, etc.)
• 2+ years of proven computational design experience in a professional setting
• Solid understanding of geometry
• Demonstrated advanced skills in Rhino and Grasshopper
• Good skills in graphical representation and communication
• A strong attention to detail
• Initiative and proactive working methodology
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Develop digital workflows for the delivery of complex projects from concept to completion
• Contribute to the development of internal design modelling tools and R&D initiatives
• Work with the internal design teams, clients, architects, and other consultants to provide support, analysis, and documentation for projects
• Represent VIA at meetings
• Use parametric, thermal, and other analytic software and interpret their outputs
• Review own and others’ work as part of quality assurance
• Provide support in the creation of design presentations and reports
