Job summary

Fort is seeking a Design Engineer to support architecture, installation, and planning of audio, video, and control solutions in Wixom, MI. You will craft CAD drawings, system descriptions, and detailed documentation to ensure cohesive integrations.

The role requires hands-on experience with AV service and installation, knowledge of Crestron/QSC/Extron/AMX and DSP platforms, and the ability to read complex engineering diagrams. CTS/CTS-D certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years of design engineering experience.
Experience in service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems.
Knowledgeable of control systems (Crestron, QSC, Extron, AMX) and DSP platforms.
Ability to read and interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction and electrical drawings.
Knowledge of project financial reports and cost control in design and management.
Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent.
CTS and CTS-D certifications are a plus, with right experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to support architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutions.
Complete documentation with high quality, including CAD drawings, system descriptions and research.
Research and analyze capabilities of available hardware and software options.
Design audiovisual systems that meet customer needs as an integrated solution.
