Job summary

FORTÉ is seeking a Design Engineer to support architecture, installation, and planning of audio, video and control solutions. You will prepare detailed CAD drawings, system descriptions, and equipment research to deliver integrated AV systems tailored to customer needs.

With 3+ years in design engineering and knowledge of Crestron/QSC/Extron/AMX controls and DSP platforms, you will collaborate across teams to ensure accurate design intent and efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Design Engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems.
• Knowledge of control systems (Crestron, QSC, Extron, AMX) and DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, Clearone, BSS).
• Ability to read and interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction, and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of project financial reports and cost control in design/management.
• CTS/CTS-D certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support architecture, installation and planning of AV solutions.
• Complete documentation with high quality; CAD drawings, system descriptions, equipment research and design.
• Research and analyze capabilities of available hardware/software options.
• Design AV systems using hardware/software components that meet customer needs.
• Support projects and team throughout the implementation process.
