Job summary

McNeese State University invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Department of Business Disciplines. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track appointment beginning January 2027.

The candidate will teach Intermediate I & II, Accounting Theory, and Advanced Accounting, advise students, and contribute to scholarly activity in line with AACSB SA standards, while serving on college and university committees.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in accounting or related discipline.
• SA status (Scholarly Academic) by start date.
• Excellence in teaching and service to the university and profession.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses including Intermediate I, Intermediate II, Accounting Theory, and Advanced Accounting.
• Advise students and support online and face-to-face instruction.
• Publish in quality journals and meet AACSB SA standards.
• Participate on college and university committees and engage in recruitment.
