Excelsior Prep Charter School of Tampa seeks an instructional leader to guide students using the school's curriculum, instruction, and assessment to maximize achievement. The educator will collaborate to maintain a safe, respectful learning environment and implement creative strategies addressing diverse learners.

Starting salary is $50,200 annually, with experience-based advancement. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, state teaching certification, and a K-12 Math endorsement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and state teaching certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous teaching experience at the K-12 level.
• Math Endorsement K-12 or 6-12.
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management.
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and the ability to closely adhere to established guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Involves students in the development of a mission and goals that support the school's goals and guide classroom decisions.
• Develops and implements a strategic planning system, including course, unit, and lesson plans.
• Provides opportunities for students to demonstrate appropriate progress toward graduation expectations, including becoming knowledgeable lifelong learners, responsible individuals, effective communicators, problem solvers, collaborative team workers, and self-directed learners.
• Provides students and parents with timely data to support improvement in student achievement.
• Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to determine whether students have achieved high standards and modifies instructional strategies as needed to maximize achievement.
• Understands how students learn and provides learning opportunities that support the intellectual, social, and personal development of diverse learners.
• Establishes and maintains a safe and secure classroom environment.
• Manages student misconduct promptly and resolves conflicts and crises effectively.
• Promotes an independent and collaborative work ethic.
