Job summary

Purple Innovation, LLC is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to join the Innovations team in Utah. You will run injection molding machines, build prototypes, measure parts, and help document new concepts for patent review.

Responsibilities

• Track warehouse materials and restock as needed.
• Pack and prepare items for shipping and operate forklifts safely.
• Follow safety rules and participate in training.

Compensation

The compensation target for this role is: $17.00 - $20.00

As at technician on the Innovations team, you help bring Purple’s newest product ideas to life in a hands‑on, behind‑the‑scenes role. The projects that the Innovations team is working makes this an exciting time to join. The work directly supports the development of the innovative products that bring better comfort to Purple customers.

Job Description

How you’ll shape the future of comfort

• Run and monitor injection molding machines, including removing parts and operating basic controls.
• Build and assemble new product prototypes using glue, foam, and tools such as spray adhesive, scissors, foam saws, and electric cutters.
• Measure parts and check product quality against standards, and take notes on product builds, tests, and ways to improve.
• Help document and prepare new concepts for patent review.
• Set up product displays and prepare rooms for internal meetings, customer presentations, demos, and team walkthroughs.
• Track warehouse materials and supplies, restock as needed, and keep work areas and the warehouse clean and organized.
• Pack and prepare items for shipping, load and unload trucks, and operate forklifts safely around heavy equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and take part in ongoing safety training.

Physical Requirements:

Physical activities may occasionally include:

• Operating forklifts and working around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Loading and unloading trucks.

Physical activities may constantly include:

• Standing for prolonged periods of time, up to 10 hours.
• Lifting and moving materials or products up to 50 pounds.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.

Environmental Conditions may occasionally include:

• Warehouse and production environment with noise from machinery and heavy equipment
• Exposure to spray adhesives, foam, and cutting tools

Work Hours (Good Faith Estimate):

This full‑time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. This is a good faith estimate, and actual hours may vary based on business needs.
