Job summary

Trystar is seeking an Innovation Sourcing Manager to work within Research, Development and Engineering. You will source partners, parts, and processes to turn ideas into hardware, collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Operations and Product Management.

The role involves RFQs, supplier qualification, and commercial negotiations to meet cost and lead-time targets, with travel up to ~20% and flexible base within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technical sourcing, strategic sourcing, or NPD/NPI
• Proven collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Operations
• Experience negotiating pricing, terms and supplier agreements
• Willingness to travel ~20% annually; hybrid/remote options may exist

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate sourcing risks early in development to drive mitigations
• Align with Commodity Managers and Enterprise Sourcing on supplier evaluation and handoff to production
• Qualify new suppliers for quality, delivery, capability, and compliance
• Own RFQ and quoting for new product and prototype buys, including bids and negotiations
• Develop new sources and technologies; negotiate contracts to secure best total value
• Document and manage project sourcing strategies and provide status updates to stakeholders
• Track supplier performance, cost, and lead times to support production readiness
• Manage NDAs, CDAs, MSAs, and related sourcing agreements
