Job summary

Jefferson County is seeking an Innovation Program Manager to lead the Innovation function within the Business Innovation & Technology Division. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, oversee programs and initiatives, and guide AI governance and emerging technologies.

The role is hybrid with a four-day work week possible and a 40-hour schedule. Hiring range is $120,000–$140,000 USD annually, depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Five years of work-related experience in innovation, technology, business analysis, program management, or digital transformation.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop multidisciplinary staff, including interns and limited-term employees.
• Set priorities and oversee a portfolio of programs, projects, pilots, and services.
• Lead efforts to define opportunities, resources, and actionable paths for complex problems.
• Oversee the Jeffco Innovation Lab and internship/fellowship programs.
• Lead AI governance and responsible AI initiatives.
• Build cross-department relationships to advance Innovation initiatives.
• Develop external partnerships and pursue grant opportunities.
• Manage budgets, contracts, vendors, and other resources.
