Job summary

JD Power is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering - AI & Innovation to lead the AI & Innovation function. You will directly manage engineers, set the roadmap, and own priority decisions as demand and capacity fluctuate.

In this role, you will partner with the VP of Architecture and engineering leadership to translate enterprise AI strategy into actionable roadmaps for Innovation Crew and Launch Lab, driving PoC velocity and adherence to AI Standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with direct people management.
• Experience leading AI/ML or innovation-focused engineering functions.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into executable roadmaps.
• Experience owning delivery metrics and reporting to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, coach, and grow the AI & Innovation function; own performance management and org design decisions.
• Own the team roadmap: translate enterprise AI strategy into quarterly roadmaps for Innovation Crew and Launch Lab.
• Own the operating cadence end-to-end; approve intake process and manage escalation points.
• Maintain DevOps, AppSec, and Cloud Engineering partnerships to meet CI/CD and security needs.
• Own metrics and executive reporting to leadership and represent results in town halls and reviews.
• Own the AI agent workforce lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding with Power Agents metrics.
• Manage cross-org relationships with engineering clusters, Product, and business unit leaders.
