Responsibilities
- Perform primary and secondary research on organizations supporting innovative start-up companies in New York State
- Generate reports, briefings, and presentations with recommendations for connecting start-ups and entrepreneurial ecosystem participants with academic partners to advance R&D
- Generate reports, briefings, and presentations recommending ways to address gaps in the innovation partnerships ecosystem
- Assist with planning and executing workshops, roundtables, event sponsorships, program design, and contractual relationships
- Perform other assigned responsibilities
Work up to 18.5 hours per week during the semester and up to 37.5 hours per week between semesters when not attending classes
Requirements
- Current, full-time graduate student at an accredited college
- Ability to work during the Fall Semester and at least one additional semester
- Must be located in New York State while working
- Demonstrated ability to perform independent market, partnerships, and technical research using primary and secondary sources
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to interpret data and provide sound recommendations
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite programs
- Ability to manage multiple activities, deliver commitments, and operate with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge, experience, or coursework related to innovative clean energy technologies and trends, entrepreneurship, and research institutions
