Qualifications

• Educational requirements: Master's degree in Instructional Technology or closely-related field.
• Required experience: Five (5) years of experience related to the position.
• Special certifications and maker-based education focus.
• Preferred: advanced degree in related field.
• Preferred: online learning development and conference presentations.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and delivers professional learning for faculty in integrating technology.
• Collaborates with faculty and students to integrate instructional technologies and innovative practices.
• Acts as a technology coach for faculty in designing technology-enhanced, in-person, and blended instruction.
• Models learner-centered strategies and innovative pedagogy for technology-enhanced learning.
• Supports faculty creating/updating face-to-face and blended learning.
• Collaborates to develop curriculum materials and plan tech-enhanced lessons.
• Develops TIAs for undergrad/grad programs to support tech and innovation.
• Supports blended and online learning with the Instructional Designer.
• Sets up the Innovation Lab to meet diverse visiting groups' needs.
• Promotes innovation via maker activities, design thinking, and coding.
• Develops new learning experiences offered in the Innovation Lab.
• Evaluates and selects hardware, software, robotics and other lab materials.
• Manages the Maker Closet with lab supplies.
• Mentors and trains student assistants for lab sessions.
• Offers customized sessions and tours with Bagwell partners.
• Teaches partners how to design Innovation Labs.
• Researches emerging technologies for curriculum integration.
• Advocates for resources to grow the Innovation Lab.
• Stays current with technologies and pedagogies.
• Serves on tech-related committees as needed.
• Supports visiting students, faculty, and events.
• Works with vendors to secure hardware/software.
• Seeks MOUs and approvals through IT and legal.
