Khan Lab School in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Makerspace Manager for the Upper School to lead the Innovation Hub, supervise equipment, and train students and faculty. This role focuses on design education, manufacturing, robotics, and hands-on projects across grade levels.

You will develop safety certifications, manage space design, budget, and partnerships, mentor student projects, support after-school clubs, and help integrate emerging technologies like AI tools into the program.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of prior high school or college teaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining digital fabrication and shop equipment (FDM printers, laser cutter, CNC router, band saw, drill press).
• Proficiency in at least one CAD package (Fusion 360, Onshape, SolidWorks).
• Experience building or running a tool certification / safety training program for minors.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the Innovation Hub including space, safety training, and coordination.
• Mentor and support students on projects and programs.
• Develop tool certification and safety training programs for minors.
• Manage hub budget and participate in Budget to Actuals meetings.
• Lead an Upper School advisory group and support clubs.
