Job summary

EY Wavespace in San Francisco, CA seeks an Innovation & Experience Designer (Manager) to drive large-scale workshops for transformative opportunities using design thinking and systems thinking. You will lead diverse teams, manage client relationships and ensure outputs meet client outcomes.

This full-time role (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri) requires up to 90% travel and offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Design, Human Resources Management, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Communications, Organizational Studies or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.
• Alternatively, Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Design, Human Resources Management, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Communications, Organizational Studies or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.
• Must have 4 years of advisory/consulting experience in Organizational Change Management, Organizational Design, Design thinking, Operating & delivery modelling, Customer Experience mapping/journey mapping, Digital design, Digital transformation, or Large-scale transformation.
• Must have 4 years designing design thinking based strategic workshop experiences to support transformative client engagements in two or more objectives (understanding questions, presenting options, creating steps, aligning groups).
• Must have 4 years translating complex business transformation issues into clear problem statements and designing processes for organizational resolution.
• Must have 4 years managing the design of innovation workshops/sessions and facilitating their delivery.
• Must have 4 years planning and managing at least two complex and critical business transformation projects across multiple locations.
• Must have 4 years supervising advisory/consulting professionals.
• Requires domestic travel up to 90%.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate large-scale workshop experiences focused on clients’ business transformation opportunities.
• Enable organizations to address critical issues using design thinking and systems thinking methodologies.
• Work with global clients to understand and address their largest performance opportunities.
• Lead teams to deliver strategic, design thinking based workshops and ensure outputs map to client outcomes.
• Cultivate long-term client relationships and business development opportunities.
