Job summary

King & Spalding LLP is seeking an Innovation Attorney in the Litigation practice to drive the strategic use of GenAI, data analytics, and broader legal tech to optimize client service and efficiency. This role partners with practice leaders, technology teams, and clients to deploy innovative workflows and templates across matters.

The ideal candidate has a JD, at least two years of litigation experience, and a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent and admission to the relevant state bar.
• At least 2 years practicing law in a law firm or legal operations role.
• Passion for applying innovative technology in litigation at a global firm.
• Proficiency with technology, legal tech, and AI.
• Experience leading or participating in tech-related projects in large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with litigation practice groups to optimize workflows using GenAI and tech resources.
• Replicate successful innovations across teams to boost value and efficiency.
• Configure legal technologies and develop templates/workflows for groups.
• Identify opportunities to enhance tech solutions in collaboration with tech teams.
• Serve as liaison to clients on AI projects and align work with client guidelines.
• Communicate updates on technologies and industry trends to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (BD, training, risk, records) on initiatives.
