Responsibilities

• Makes periodic rounds and supervises inmate movement to maintain jail security.
• Locks and unlocks cells and access doors using mechanical and electrical devices.
• Transports inmates to courts, medical facilities and other locations as needed.
• Issue clothing and bedding and instruct inmates in proper care.
• Records and fingerprinting when processing inmates; prepares related reports.
• Searches cells for contraband and assists in maintaining order during disturbances.
