Job summary

The Library Aide will develop catalog systems, schedule access, train inmate workers, monitor inventories, and enforce library policies to maintain a safe, orderly environment while delivering high-quality information resources.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of library work experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining library catalog system.
• Create schedules for inmate/resident access to the library.
• Search catalog files and assist in locating materials.
• Train inmate workers in shelving and checking books in/out.
• Maintain tracking system and conduct inventories.
