Job summary

Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking a supervisor to oversee inmate workers in maintaining city parking structures, METRA facility, and associated bus route areas. The role ensures safety of inmates and the public, while coordinating cleaning and maintenance tasks across facilities.

Qualifications include correctional and supervisory knowledge, as well as required certifications (Georgia DOC, POST) and a valid GA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Supervise inmates and maintain safety for the public.
• Schedule cleaning of city public parking garages and lots.
• Maintain METRA lawn tools and equipment; inventory management.
• Paint poles, gates and walls; clean webs and wash floors.
• Collect trash daily from parking facilities.
• Maintain grounds appearance and lawn maintenance along bus routes.
• Certifications: Georgia DOC, POST within required time frame, and valid GA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and ensure safety of inmates and public.
• Schedule and oversee cleaning of city parking structures and lots.
• Maintain METRA lawn tools and related equipment; manage inventory.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks including painting and washing surfaces.
• Oversee trash collection and grounds maintenance along bus routes.
