Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Corrections, seeks an Operations and Management Consultant Manager (SES) to oversee the inmate grievance process at the Central Office in Tallahassee. The role requires senior-level oversight, policy compliance, staff supervision, and coordination with wardens to address inmate issues and support rehabilitation efforts.

Reporting to the SES framework, the incumbent will supervise grievance personnel, monitor rule adherence, and drive training and documentation

Qualifications

• Must possess at least 5 years’ experience handling inmate grievances.
• Must possess at least 5 years' working inside a correctional institution.
• Experience in security, classification, sentence structure or inmate grievances.

Responsibilities

• Manages inmate grievance cases and handles related correspondence and inquiries.
• Gathers information to prepare grievance responses and assists staff in resolving inmate issues.
• Supervises clerical staff and regional grievance coordinators to ensure timely processing of appeals.
