Job summary

Aramark Corporation is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates, oversee meal production, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met. You will train staff, coordinate duties, and uphold Aramark policies across the facility.

The role focuses on portion control, safety, and adherence to recipes while supporting efficient meal service in a correctional environment. Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain production guidelines by reviewing production and temperature logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and all Aramark guidelines are met.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Prints and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in the use of Aramark recipes and train on proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and any special dietary requirements are fulfilled.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies and procedures; ensure storage areas are locked.
• Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are returned to their designated areas; secure keys.
• Determine work procedures, prepare work and sanitation schedules.
• Assist in inventory; properly receive, store food and related items; requisition orders.
• Participate in preparation/5 P's and storage/assembly of meals.
• Follow SOPs and HACCP policies for proper food handling.
