Qualifikationen

• Two years of office/clerical experience, one year of which must have been in the handling of cash receipts or disbursements and in the keeping of cash records.

Aufgaben

• Receives and processes deposits and disbursements for inmate accounts, and bail payments for inmates, and verifies inmate deposits and disbursements, and bail payment amounts prior to processing them.
• Interacts with the public when handling inmate account deposits and bail payments, and interacts with inmates and Department sworn personnel when handling disbursements.
• Accesses inmate account information using the Department's Jail Information Management System (JIMS).
• Accurately identifies inmates using inmate names and booking numbers, and Los Angeles County Regional Identification System (LACRIS) photographs prior to processing disbursements.
• Identifies counterfeit money prior to processing transactions.
• Operates money-counting machines.
• Accurately balances all transactions.
• Responds to requests from the public regarding inmate accounts.
• Completes forms associated with the processing of deposits, disbursements, and bail payments.
