Job summary

Skate City in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced inline hockey coach/director to lead and grow our new inline hockey programs. This is a full-time hybrid role focused on development, management and success of all inline hockey activities, including leagues, clinics, camps, tournaments, and instructional programs.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, organized, and passionate about the sport, creating a fun, safe and competitive environment for players of all ages

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in inline/roller/ice hockey program leadership.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as schedules require.
• Knowledge of hockey rules and player development practices.
• Experience managing staff or volunteers in youth sports.
• CPR/First Aid and SafeSport clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee inline hockey programs (leagues, clinics, camps, events).
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise coaches and staff.
• Create and manage seasonal schedules and rink time.
• Ensure safety standards and governing body rules are followed.
• Coordinate equipment inventory and distribution.
• Promote programs via marketing, social media and community partnerships.
• Manage registrations, fees and related admin tasks with rink management.
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture emphasizing skill development and sportsmanship.
