Job summary

Skate City in Fargo, ND seeks an enthusiastic inline hockey program manager to lead and grow our new inline hockey initiatives. You will oversee leagues, clinics, camps, tournaments, and instructional programs, while supporting the rink's broader roller-skating offerings.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven coaching and program management experience, able to manage staff, schedules, budgets, and safety standards in a dynamic community rink setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inline/roller/ice hockey as a player, coach, or administrator (2–3 years preferred).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Knowledge of hockey rules, coaching principles, and player development.
• Experience managing staff, volunteers, or youth programs.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, registration software).
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain promptly).
• Must pass a background check and be SafeSport certified.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee all inline hockey programs, including leagues, clinics, camps, and events.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise coaches, officials, and program staff.
• Create and manage seasonal schedules, game times, and practice (rink time).
• Ensure programs comply with safety standards and rink policies.
• Coordinate equipment inventory, maintenance, and distribution.
• Promote programs through marketing materials, social media, and partnerships.
• Manage program budgets, registration processes, and fee collection.
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture emphasizing skill development and safety.
• Communicate with players, parents, coaches, and rink staff; resolve issues.
• Track program performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Maintain a visible presence on the rink floor during key program times.
