Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd is seeking an Inland Delivery Lead to supervise and mentor a team of coordinators responsible for inland shipments. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, optimizing intermodal transport, and maintaining compliance across Hazmat and Heavy/Overweight cargoes.

The position requires a strong background in maritime operations, leadership, and proficiency with logistics software, operating in the United States.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Maritime Industry or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Specialized knowledge of 3 or more years within all principles of the Operations function.
• Proficient in Salesforce and QlikView and other software appropriate to work demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of coordinators responsible for Inland Delivery operations.
• Responsible for timely and cost-efficient transport of containers by rail, truck, barge and feeder vessel.
• Reviews weekly KPIs and analysis information to improve customer service and operations.
• Ensures proper routings to maintain cost-effective intermodal operations.
• Compliance with all related laws regarding Hazmat, Heavy/Overweight, and Out-of-Gauge cargoes.
