Job summary

Chapman Marine Inc. is seeking an ADCI-certified supervisor to plan, direct and safely execute inland commercial diving and marine construction projects in the Austin area for water utilities and infrastructure sites.

The role is a hands-on field leadership position aboard boats and barges, with a predictable Mon–Thu schedule, possible overtime, and lodging support for nonlocal employees. Competitive pay at $45.00–$55.00 per hour, with long-term employment potential and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Current ADCI Surface-Supplied Air Diving Supervisor certification; applicants without a current credential will not be considered.
• Experience independently supervising surface-supplied diving operations.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification; Emergency Oxygen Provider and AED credentials must be current by start date.
• Current commercial-diving medical clearance/fitness-to-dive documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct dive operations, including pre-job review and hazard assessment.
• Lead job preparation, equipment loadout, mobilization and demobilization.
• Supervise dive-team activities; set expectations and coach team members.
• Maintain dive logs, reports, equipment records and customer deliverables.
• Coordinate with project management and customers on schedule, scope and changes.
• Manage labor, equipment, materials, and costs within authority.
• Inspect and maintain dive systems and support equipment; remove unsafe gear.
