Job summary

Cabot Corporation in Billerica, MA seeks a Technical Operator for the Inkjet R&D team to support development, scale-up, and testing of aqueous pigment dispersions. The role involves lab-scale preparation, testing, and collaboration on new product development with minimal supervision.

You will perform routine tests (pH, viscosity, particle size), document results, and help install/modify equipment for pilot-scale work. A technical degree and hands-on lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a technical discipline or an Associates/Secondary degree with relevant experience.
• Experience with pigment dispersion or ink-related lab testing is a plus.
• Strong attention to testing protocols and data recording is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples using mixing, milling, and filtration equipment.
• Follow project plans and maintain clear, timely records of experiments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment; ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Collaborate with team to develop and test new products or processes.
