Job summary

Flint Group is seeking an Ink Technician to safely perform all aspects of ink preparation and support in a production environment. You will help deliver press-ready inks while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

This role requires attention to detail, color accuracy, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced setting. Prior ink manufacturing or printing experience is preferred, with emphasis on quality records and lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety training.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace using Lean/5S.
• Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks.
• Perform color control checks using X-Rite or similar equipment.
• Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Maintain production, quality, and downtime records; assist with job scheduling.
• Manage ink inventory and minimize waste.
• Follow and support off-ink processes to reduce waste.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ink Technician is responsible for safely performing all aspects of ink preparation and support to ensure the successful operation of the customer’s production environment. This role supports customer performance by delivering high-quality, press-ready inks while adhering to Flint Group’s corporate policies, safety standards, and core values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Adhere to all safety policies, participate in safety training, and properly use PPE
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace using Lean and 5S principles
• Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to support production schedules
• Perform quality checks, including color control using X-Rite or similar equipment
• Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting as needed
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime recordsAssist with job scheduling and ink estimations for upcoming production
• Manage ink inventory levels, ensuring proper stock and minimizing excess
• Follow and support work-off ink processes to reduce waste

• Previous experience in printing, ink manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
