Job summary

Constantia Flexibles in Kentucky is seeking a production support team member to assist press and coater crews, ensure ink, coating, adhesive and solvent availability, and help meet manufacturing goals.

You will follow written recipes, prepare WETS for upcoming jobs, perform quality checks, manage daily inventory, maintain 5-S standards, and participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist press and coater crews to meet manufacturing goals.
• Ensure ink, coating, adhesive and solvent availability.
• Prepare inks, coatings and adhesives for upcoming jobs.
• Follow recipes to prepare WETS for finished goods.
• Manage daily inventory control.
• Perform daily quality checks and safety observations.
• Maintain 5-S standards and keep equipment in good condition.

Job description

• A member of the production support team of individuals who are multi-skilled and cross-trained on all required process equipment.
• In conjunction with Press and Coater crews, assist in performing quality and meeting manufacturing goals.
• Ensure timely ink, coating, adhesive and solvent availability for maximum efficiency of Press and Coater/Laminator.
• Prepare inks, coatings and adhesives for upcoming jobs including color match to standards prior to start-up.
• Be able to follow written recipes and formulation for preparing WETS for each finished goods.
• Manage required daily inventory control.
• Prepare WETS for upcoming jobs.
• Ensure all quality checks are taking place.
• Return WETS for finished jobs.
• Receive inks, coatings and solvents
• Prepare hazardous material for shipment.
• Maintain all parts in good condition.
• Perform appropriate PM on equipment.
• Observe and make recommendations on all issues regarding safety, quality, and production.
• Perform daily and periodic cleaning in order to maintain the required 5-S standards throughout the manufacturing area.
• All other duties appropriate to the position as assigned or required.

Your Profile

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
