Job summary

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking an Injury Prevention Professional to join our team at Anna, Ohio. This on-call/substitute role supports workplace injury prevention programs and employee wellness initiatives at our corporate client site.

You will develop injury prevention exercise prescriptions, lead education and training, and help collect program data to demonstrate ROI. CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are required before start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science or other related field required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• Personal Training certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, NETA or NSCA a plus.
• 2-3 years' experience in corporate based health and fitness program preferred.
• Understanding of Biomechanics, occupational safety and proficient in exercise prescription preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education, and training.
• Develops exercise programs specific to injury prevention and conditioning needs.
• Collects and document appropriate program data to support the ROI process.
• Develop, promote, and market wellness and general education programs.
• Supports employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

About the role

HealthFitness is seeking a passionate and skilled Injury Prevention Professional to join the team at our corporate client site in Anna, Ohio.

This is an on-call/substitute opportunity, ideal for professionals seeking a flexible schedule. In this role, you'll provide coverage on an as-needed basis, stepping in to support employees and workplace injury prevention programs when regular team members are unavailable.

Supports the creation and implementation of programs focused on the prevention of work injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and wellness.

Key Accountabilities

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science or other related field required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
• Personal Training certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM, NETA or NSCA a plus.
• Work experience in a clinical environment (occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, nursing) preferred.
• 2-3 years' experience in corporate based health and fitness program preferred.
• Understanding of Biomechanics, occupational safety and proficient in exercise prescription preferred.

Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $20 - $24/hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
