Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an engineer to join the Large Power Systems Division in a hands-on design and testing role focused on high-pressure fuel systems.

You will contribute to injector design, performance, and development for new engine applications, with exposure to testing, detailed design, analysis, and control strategy development. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and offers on-site work at the Pontiac, IL facility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on involvement in the design and testing of engine or fuel system components.
• Ability to determine work objectives and apply design methods across stages of production.
• Familiarity with Creo modeling, Excel, and Minitab for design tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage design concepts and layouts, performing calculations and providing leadership to cross-functional teams.
• Conduct hands-on testing on test benches to verify performance and durability across time.
• Coordinate with Engineers and Designers to refine product designs and resolve issues.
• Communicate results and design decisions clearly to manufacturing, quality, and service teams.
