Job summary

Plastipak is seeking an Injection Molding Process Engineer to own process health, product quality, and continuous improvement in the Injection Department. You will monitor processes, validate startups, maintain standards, and partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure safe, stable production.

You will work with teams to train staff, analyze SPC data, and drive ISO and TPM initiatives while coordinating with cross-functional groups to resolve opportunities promptly.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; BS in Engineering a plus.
• Knowledge of SPC, Quality programs, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Project management skills or capabilities.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all process changes in the injection department and validate equipment startups; develop corrective actions.
• Monitor QAUTO, SPC data and process trends daily and react accordingly with department contacts.
• Serve as department’s technical process resource and maintain all technical documentation.
• Collaborate to develop and execute training for the injection department.
• Maintain and improve ISO standards, food safety defense program, and TPM objectives.
